Larry

Over a finance and investing career spanning 40 years, Larry has invested in, advised on, or loaned on more than $2 billion in real estate transactions.
A Managing Partner of Juniper Capital since December 2019, he joined the firm after previously collaborating with the firm on various loans, workouts,
and bankruptcies.

From 2009 to 2019, Larry worked at real estate investment and finance company IMH Financial Corp., serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2014 to 2019. He managed the company (originally a $1 billion middle markets lending platform) through the sales, loans and repositioning and workouts of its portfolio, and has been through over 45 workouts of the full portfolio originated by this predecessors at IMH. He also directly handled the investment in IMH’s successful lending platform for the hospitality industry.

IMH acquired the L’Auberge de Sedona Resort & Spa in Sedona, Arizona, through a workout agreement, renovated the hotel to a luxury brand, and then sold to a REIT for what was at the time the highest price paid per key of any hotel sale in Arizona. IMH also acquired the MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa in Sonoma, California, and has invested over $29 million in repositioning it as a five-star hotel.

Larry has significant operating and board experience; in addition to his role at IMH, he was Chief Executive Officer for True North Advisors, LLC, and is currently Chairman of the Board of Salucro Health Solutions, LLC.

During his approximately 30 years in the securities industry, Larry held leadership positions at Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc., Everen Securities, Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley, and EF Hutton. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he enjoys spending time his wife of 35 years, Kathy, along with his four sons and their families. He lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
